The gorgeous diva of Indian film industry Sridevi was introduced with this cinema. Padaharella Vayasu was a remake version of Tamil block buster 16-Vayatanille. Ace director Balachandar directed Tamil version. Sridevi played the female lead in both the versions. Earlier film makers were approached Soban babu and Jayaprada to play these characters but they both were busy to give the dates. So they moved to Sridevi and Chandra Mohan.
