Multi-faceted personality Dr. T Subbirami Reddy, fondly called as 'Kalabandhu' by film industry folks and common people alike, yesterday felicitated Megastar Chiranjeevi at an 'Aathmeeya Veduka' held at Park Hyatt, Hyderabad.  At the event, TSR came across as a dear well-wisher of the beloved megastar, expressing joy over the re-entry of Chiru after a gap of nearly a decade.

Speaking at the event, TSR said, "It's great that 'Khaidi No. 150' has grossed Rs. 108.48 Cr in the first week itself.  Whenever I and Chiranjeevi garu used to meet during Parliament sessions, I used to tell him that he should again do acting.  So, I am very happy that he has made a comeback."  He was all praise for Ram Charan, who has scored a blockbuster ('Dhruva') as an actor as well as a producer around the same time.  "It's special because he has achieved success as an actor and a producer at the same time.  I am happy that Smt. Surekha garu's first film as presenter has become a massive hit," he added.

TSR, who got laurels as a film producer of distinction before he stopped producing movies many years ago, said that he wants to once again wear the hat by producing a multi-starrer with Mega heroes!  "When I made 'State Rowdy', it created a new record in Nizam territory.  The dubbed version in Hindi also became a hit.  Those old days are coming to my mind.  Chiranjeevi garu has the same enthusiasm and respect for others that he used to have in those days.  Very few people come with such qualities.  I have produced 14 films, some of them multi-starrers, with stars like Shoban Babu, Rajendra Prasad and Venkatesh.  In Bollywood, too, I have produced multi-starrers.  I have been away from films after becoming busy in politics.  I now have a strong desire to produce movies.  I want to produce a movie with Chiranjeevi garu, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun.  Prominent producer C Ashwini Dutt is willing to team up with me for this project.  We both will meet these actors personally," he said.

'Kalabandhu' further said that Aditya Chopra (Yash Chopra's son) is interested in producing movies in Telugu in association with him.  "When I recently went to Mumbai, I happened to speak about the range of Telugu cinema's market.  He has expressed his willingness to team up with me," TSR added.

The felicitation event was attended by the cast and crew members of 'Khaidi No. 150', namely Ram Charan, VV Vinayak, Smt. Surekha, Paruchuri Brothers, Sathyanand, Ali, Brahmanandam and Naga Babu.  Chiru's long-time friend Nagarjuna graced with his wife Amala and son Akhil.  Jayaprada, Allu Aravind, Ashwini Dutt, Dil Raju, Potluri Vara Prasad (PVP), Gemini Kiran, Kodandarami Reddy, B Gopal, Puri Jagannadh, Srikanth, Charmme, and others were present.
