Guest roles in tollywood

Special appearances seem to be the new trend in Tollywood. Stars do not shy away from playing cameos and special roles in some of the films. The film unit tactically do not expose the role and many times do not reveal that the actor/actress is part of the film.  For instance, Nagarjuna always denied Akhil’s cameo in Manam before the film’s release. Also Nagachaitanya’s Premam had two of the finest stars Nagarjuna and Venkatesh playing special roles but the unit only spoke about Venkatesh and not Nagarjuna.  This strategy seems to work brilliantly for the movies as audience are in for a surprise.

This trend seems to be brilliantly working as Rajamouli played a guest role in Majnu, Raj Tarun playing a cameo in Hebah Patel’s next and Ram Charan is also all set to play a special role in Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi Number 150.
