Previously, there used to be a set of actresses for a special song or an item number. But the trend seems to be changing now. A lot of directors and also heroes are inclined towards casting a popular heroine for the item song. Even the producers are ready to spend extra amount in this aspect as they feel that this will generate the buzz and the required hype for the movie.

We have seen Kajal Aggarwal dancing for the item song Pakka Local in Janatha Garage and the amount of hype this attempt generated for the movie is unprecedented.

Tamannah, in this aspect is senior to Kajal Aggarwal. Tammanah has appeared in special songs in movies like Alludu Seenu and Speedunnodu.

Shruti Hasan also performed an item number for Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu. The movie failed to click at the box office but Shruti Hasan received great response from Mahesh fans.

Anjali has also performed item numbers in Singham and also in Sarainodu.

Interesting fact is all of these heroines are playing the lead roles and are also performing special numbers!
